Have your say in shaping Winnipeg’s newest Library
Planning is underway for the new Mike O’Shaughnessy Library, coming soon to the Garden City Shopping Centre and we want your input.
From now until December 3, you can help shape how this new branch will look and feel. We’re gathering feedback on the library’s theme, design, and public art, with three theme ideas to consider: technology, gardens, and seasons.
You can share your thoughts in two easy ways:
- Take the online survey before Wednesday, December 3, 2025
- Join us in person at a pop-up event on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Garden City Shopping Centre (centre court)
Libraries are important community hubs that bring people together to learn, create, and connect. This new branch will be a welcoming, inclusive space for all residents in northwest Winnipeg, and your voice will help make it that way.
I encourage you to take a few minutes to share your ideas and help us build a library that reflects our community’s spirit and needs.
