Are you interested in becoming a lifeguard? I’m pleased to say that this summer, the City of Winnipeg is once again offering valuable training to become an Instructor Guard.
This certification program will provide the opportunity for 40 applicants to become an Instructor Guard with the City free of charge. At the end of this 16-week program, successful applicants will have completed all the necessary requirements to find employment as an Instructor Guard. The program runs from August to January and is open to anyone who is at least 16 years old, has a minimum Grade 10 education, and is able to demonstrate a swimming ability at a Canadian Red Cross Level 8 or Lifesaving Society Swimmer 6 level.
